- Scrabble. It was a shared and loved activity with my Mum and Grandmother.
- Flag football - such a fun team sport
- Up and down the river card game. It’s a mixture of luck and strategy, you can play with any amount of people and it becomes more and more unpredictable and fun as it goes. I also have really fond memories attached to this game.

What else do you want to say about play? We want to hear it!
(Write in your answer)
- Play is critical for thinking, building relationships, brain engagement, physical and mental health and fun!
- It should made mandatory for an hour a day in any work place. I have worked 8 years in a centre with a table tennis table and have played max total of 30 mins in 8 years.. Shocking!
- Adults need more fun ways to connect with other adults. It’s hard to make friends as adults and having fun would help a lot!
- Play is the cousin of flirting!
- I want to play forever. Why don’t more of us oldies play?!
- Playfulness is foundational to spiritual growth
- All we have to do is marvel at a child playing and realize - we are in a ‘thin place’ when we play. We are present, full of wonder, the closest to joy and deeply connected when we play. It’s the key practice to staying open and curious to what the world might throw our way.
- It doesn’t even seem fathomable to have fun; to let go and just be playful. It feels like I’ve lost that ability.
- I honestly don’t know if I even have a desire to play anymore, which feels very sad.
- "I know I used to be crazy, I know I used to be fun, I know I used to be wild... That's cuz I used to be young" - Miley Cyrus, but also me
- If I asked you what the opposite of play is, you might be tempted to say work. The scientific definition is actually anxiety and depression.
- Play is hard as an adult because much of life is taken so seriously. We have traded deep belly laughs for cubicles and emails. I think because we have put so many restrictions on play and what it "should" look like and who can participate that we have lost the ability and perhaps the desire to engage wholeheartedly.
- Playing keeps my mind and heart young. If it’s playing with my kids, my friends, my lovers, playing and keeping it light and fun is drawing my back to my youth
- I don't know how to prioritize play at this time in my life, unless it is with my toddler. My time is spent working, playing with my toddler, parenting, advocating for injustices in our world, and then what's left is spent on essential mental and physical wellness (going for walks, pretending to exercise at the gym, seeing my counselor, going to chiro, etc.). It feels like I need to use every available moment right now to (1) make enough money to survive in an expensive city; (2) parent my kid because I'm away so often working; and (3) Learning about our political climate and volunteering to prevent what is happening in the US from happening here - that there is simply not enough time to also play. Maybe I can't play until retirement? That sounds sad, but maybe also just plain practical.
- I'm so bummed how serious people get as they get older. It sucks the fun out of the people around them.
If you could invent a playground for grown-ups, what would be in it? (Dream big!)

A zipline or bungee situation that allows you to take leaps of courage, all in a safe way. Quiet and Nap Zones, and a bunch of costumes of things that are 'what you wanted to be when you grew up.'

- Wave pool, lazy river, grass volleyball court, swing that goes 360 degrees
- Trampolines surrounded by beautifulflowers, rope swings over water, trees made for climbing, forts high up in trees lit by lightening bugs, and hammocks that rocked themselves.
- things to help people create things
- A playground where you can listen to your own music and move and dance and climb and walk and run as a joyful activity versus versus the drudgery of the gym.
- Instead of jumping into a ball pit, I would love a pillow pit.
